The Blueshirts did an excellent job limiting Nashville's time with the puck as well as their scoring chances, and when the Predators did break through for some prime opportunities Henrik Lundqvist was rock solid in turning them aside. Lundqvist was particularly sharp in denying Martin Erat twice during a first period sequence, and cat-like in stoning Jack Hillen's one-timer following a Preds flurry later in the second.
Lundqvist finished with 27 saves to earn his 20th victory of the season, as well as his 39th career shutout.
