Henrik Lundqvist, "I Feel Great"

"I FEEL GREAT"

January 26, 05:06 PM EST

The contingent of Rangers taking part in the 2012 NHL All Star Game arrived in Ottawa Thursday afternoon, with a big night of activity awaiting them later on when the All Star Fantasy Draft takes place starting at 8:00 PM.
Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist will assist Team Alfredsson captain Daniel Alfredsson in selecting players for one team, while Boston's Zdeno Chara and Toronto's Joffrey Lupul will select players for Team Chara. Marian Gaborik and Dan Girardi from the Rangers are available to be selected among the veteran players, while Blueshirts forward Carl Hagelin can be chosen from a crop of 12 rookies.
Friday is a quiet day for the All Stars, with media avilability their most important task of the day. Then on Saturday the SuperSkills Competition takes place at 7:00 PM at Scotiabank Place. And on Sunday the 2012 NHL All Star Game is played at 4:00 PM, also at Scotiabank Place.
Complete coverage of all four Rangers All Stars, as well as the Blueshirts All Star head coach John Tortorella, can be found right here on BlueshirtsUnited.com throughout the entire weekend.
Lundqvist arrives at the All Star break playing some of the best hockey of his career, so far. He has the third-best goals against average (1.87) and save percentage (.937) in the National Hockey League, ranking second in shutouts (5) and fifth in victories (22).

"I feel great," said Lundqvist. "Obviously when you are winning I think you are more relaxed, and you don't use as much energy in between games. So that's one factor, and then I'm playing less, so I save energy there. I just feel great, and mentally, too. I am having fun out there, and most of the nights I have been playing the way I want to play. And I think as a group we have matured a lot from last year, and you see that in how we approach each game and different situations. We still have things to improve on, and I have things to improve on, but it's been real fun, so far."
