Henrik Lundqvist "This Is What I'm Used To" New York Rangers Article

"THIS IS WHAT I AM USED TO"

Henrik Lundqvist had to chuckle a bit Friday morning after the team's morning skate at Madison Square Garden when he was asked several questions about making his 8th consecutive start in goal tonight for the Rangers.
"I have played a lot more in the past," said Lundqvist, who earned his 250th career victory Wednesday in Winnipeg. "I'll be fine."
Lundqvist, who will appear in his 59th game of the season this evening, had started 68, 73, 70, 72, and 70 games in the previous five seasons. This year, thanks in part to the strong play of backup Martin Biron, Rangers head coach John Tortorella has been able to limit Lundqvist's workload considerably.
However, even with far fewer starts, Lundqvist has won 37 games, one shy of equaling his personal single-season career best.

Read today's quotebook to see what Lundqvist had to say this morning.

This is what I am used to in the past. I play a lot and I feel good. I think I can be more relaxed between games because you're playing all the time and you're in it. And moving forward we are practicing less this time of year, so now it's about saving energy for the games.

The last few games I have felt pretty good, playing the way I want to play. Of course when you win, you always feel a lot better. Playing a lot more here has helped and I feel really good physically. This is an exciting time of the year.

I try to approach every game the same way, and I set up small goals and try to achieve them, so I keep pushing myself down the stretch. After the regular season you have to be ready, so I try and approach every game now like I will in a couple of weeks.
