Henrik Gets Broadway Hat In 3-0 Win Over Bruins

All Hats Are Off To Henrik

Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has always played well against Boston, but he was really on top of his game on Tuesday night, stopping 42 shots for his NHL-leading seventh shutout of the season. Now within four shutouts of his career high and steadily emerging as a leading candidate for both the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goalie and the Hart Trophy as the league MVP, Lundqvist is enjoying the finest of his seven seasons in North America.

His performance at Boston also set a career high for saves in a shutout victory (he once stopped 45 in a 1-0 overtime shootout loss).  The reason for his remarkable success is his determination to make 2011-12 a championship season. "I have been more determined this year," he said after Tuesday's win. "The clock is ticking. This is my Year Seven now. I'm excited about this group, how hard they work and how well they play under pressure, and I feed from that."
